Update your LinkedIn company followers

LinkedIn has recently rolled out an update allowing company page owners to publish status updates – similar to Facebook pages – to keep their followers informed of the latest news and information.

In order to do this, you first have to navigate to your Company page, then select Edit from the Admin Tools menu on the right.

You’ll now be informed of the ability to update your page settings. Before you can enable page updates, you must choose who has the permission to do so.

If you are the owner of a large company with many employees already registered on LinkedIn with a company email address, you can allow anyone at that company to update the page. If not, you can choose a registered LinkedIn user (most likely yourself) and give them authorisation.

So, as well as being able to update your company’s fans and followers on Facebook and Twitter, you can now add LinkedIn to your publishing schedule.

We’ll leave you to decide whether that’s a good thing or not…!
